Title GCP Cloud Architect (L6)

Duraton: Long Term

Location: Remote across Canada/USA (on-site as required for customer/team meetings)

Working hours: EST

Cloud : GCP , multi- cloud experience is a plus.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure and scalable GCP landing zones for new and existing clients.
• Develop and maintain network architectures that ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Create and optimize data pipelines on GCP to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
• Architect Vertex AI-based MLOps infrastructure to support model training, versioning, and deployment.
• Lead the security design for GCP environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and manage IaC security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on GCP best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, features, and industry trends.

• Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for applications and services.,
• Align GCP resources with tagging and labelling for showback and chargeback models for billing purpose
• Must have performed showback model to implement cost attribution for multi-tenant platforms and systems across GCP environments
• Create and roll out tooling, alerting, monitoring and reporting systems to showback cloud usage and costs to cloud users.
• Prepare monthly cloud cost analyses and reports for enterprise consumption
• Build Cloud Cost governance framework and guardrails
• optimize cloud spendings, monitoring and analyzing cloud usage patterns and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align cloud spendings with business priorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a GCP Solution Architect with a focus on landing zone and networking design.
• Extensive experience as a GCP Solution Architect with expertise in GKE, Composer, Dataflow, and Vertex AI.
• Expertise in GCP networking, including VPC, subnets, firewall rules, and load balancing.
• Strong understanding of on-premises networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using GCP services like Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Deep knowledge of GCP security principles, including IAM, Cloud Identity, and security best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure security and IaC security, particularly with Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer are highly desirable.
