Position Title : Nonprofit Grant Writer

Location : Remote but must live in the greater LA area

Salary : Up to $85,000 per year

About Us :

LHH is seeking a talented and experienced Grant Writer to join our client's team and help them secure the funding necessary to continue our important work.

Position Overview :

The Nonprofit Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent writing skills and a proven track record of successful grant applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission and have the ability to convey our goals and needs effectively to potential funders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and programs.
  • Write and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all applications.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, funding received, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with foundation, corporate, and government funders.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing grants from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
