Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced MuleSoft Architect to join the Integration team at IBX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting middleware architecture solutions, with a primary focus on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform . The position requires strong architectural vision, leadership in middleware best practices, and hands-on experience with complex, scalable API-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect robust and scalable middleware solutions.
• Build, configure, and manage high-availability MuleSoft environments , including clustering and load balancing.
• Configure and manage API Manager , including implementation of API policies .
• Tune and optimize Mule runtimes , JVM , and GC for optimal performance.
• Lead the deployment strategies for middleware components.
• Provide development shadowing to enable customer technical teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, solution architects, project managers, and system engineers.
• Deliver best practice recommendations for improving system performance and reliability.
• Participate in strategic decision-making regarding middleware technology direction.
• Support BAU operations, including incident and change management .
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Middleware technologies , with MuleSoft ESB administration being essential.
• Proficient in Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting runtime servers and middleware performance tuning .
• Solid understanding of SDLC , IT governance , and application/system interdependencies .
• Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
• Exposure to OpenShift/Kubernetes and MQ technologies is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerized middleware environments (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of secure API gateway implementations.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Work Model:

• Hybrid (2 days onsite) Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays at the Philadelphia office.
