Litigation Paralegal

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA – Hybrid Schedule (3 Days Onsite After 90-Day Probationary Period)

Salary: Up to $115,000/year along with Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time and Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid

LHH is working with a reputable regional civil litigation defense firm in seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in their Downtown Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in civil litigation defense, with a strong foundation in trial preparation and eDiscovery. This is a full-time role offering a hybrid schedule after an initial 90-day onsite period.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support to attorneys at all stages of the case, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Assist with full trial preparation, including:
  • Drafting and organizing pre-trial pleadings
  • Preparing exhibit and witness lists
  • Creating trial binders and coordinating logistics
  • Providing onsite trial support and post-trial assistance
  • Manage eDiscovery processes, including document review, data organization, and production
  • Maintain and organize case files and litigation databases
  • Draft and file legal documents in state and federal courts
  • Summarize depositions, medical records, discovery responses, and other litigation materials
  • Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and vendors

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of civil litigation defense experience as a paralegal
  • Trial preparation experience is required
  • Proven experience with eDiscovery platforms and document management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required
  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program (or equivalent) required
  • Thorough knowledge of California and federal court rules and procedures
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software
